Elegance is a quality of the person who moves to everything he touches and not one quality of clothes capable of elevating the wearer. You can't sculpt the code of elegance more than you can write the recipe for happiness. We can say that elegance is individuality that does not come from vanity, security without fixity. Many of the most elegant men, from the Duke of Windsor to our Gianni Agnelli, have often been transgressive.
Elegance does not tolerate rules, or at least does not allow them to be expressed. Not there is nothing that shows more elegance than a starry sky, yet its physical laws are not suitable to describe it. Let's say that the canons adapt to digital phenomena, while elegance is the most analogical thing there is. What we know about it, and it is not a little, is that how music is born from harmony and is lost in the din. I would therefore say that the man who aspires to elegance should educate one's taste to a discreet essentiality, trying to dress with garments and accessories that express harmony with oneself, with the season and with the context. Everything else is decoration.
